Parent Participation

The mission of Catholic education is to support, enhance and encourage the positive learning that takes place within the home. It is essential therefore to involve the family in the catechetical process. We encourage parents to participate fully in the ongoing religious development of each young person. The following is an outline of what is our expectation for each parent:

1. Parents are expected to attend all parent meetings, especially for children in a sacramental preparation class.
2. Parents are asked to review the syllabus assigned to their child's class, and to ensure all assignments are completed.
3. Parents are invited to sit in on any class, by prior arrangement with their child's catechist.
